| Korea Institute for Future
Strategies (KIFS) seeks to form a 'knowledge network', which in effect
provides real-world solutions to major issues the current Korean society
must address. A group of young professionals of Korea - young scholars,
policymakers, entrepreneurs, journalists, social campaigners, businesspeople
- have come together with hopes of attaining this goal.
The KIFS plays a leading role in fostering a culture of practical
research and open discourse based on comprehensive expertise, political
neutrality, and independent research focus. The KIFS is especially
committed to proposing realistic measures for informatization, globalization,
and unification of two Koreas. The KIFS will garner the wisdom of
all the participants to develop a blueprint for the advancement
of Korea. |
 |
| The KIFS aims to construct
a network which proposes ideal and realistic policy measures for national
and public policy tasks by analyzing and discussing them from an intellectual,
national-interest driven perspective. In order to facilitate the
process of attaining our visions, the KIFS seeks to conduct research
on practical policies through a joint network connecting young scholars,
policymakers, entrepreneurs, professionals in the press, social
campaigners, and businesspeople.
The KIFS shall disclose all research outcomes to the public and
spread them to a broad array of social sectors. By doing so, the
KIFS seeks to promote democratic discourse on national tasks and
public policies and assist in making the more optimal public policies.
